Bend Entrepreneur Report: August Comparison
August Biz Registrations in Bend HUGE JUMP: up 51% from 2018

Bend, OR – Entrepreneurs registered 309 new businesses in Bend, Oregon, in August, a 51% increase over registrations in August 2017. The August numbers were up from July’s 275 registrations.

So far in 2018, Bend entrepreneurs have registered 2,448 businesses, versus 2,270 through August in 2017.

“Wow. August produced our biggest year-to-year jump in monthly business registrations,” said Bend business attorney Jeff Eager. “Last month’s registrations were strong, but the August 2017 numbers were probably depressed because of the eclipse and smoke that was even worse than August 2018.”

Each month, EagerLaw carefully analyzes Oregon Secretary of State’s business registration data to prepare the Bend Entrepreneur Report. The Report is released monthly to local media and on the EagerLaw PC Facebook page, where the firm also spotlights local business achievements and provides information of use to Bend businesses.

Jeff started EagerLaw PC to help Oregon entrepreneurs succeed in business. Jeff worked in Washington, D.C. for Oregon Congressman Greg Walden, served as Mayor of the City of Bend, and has been practicing law in Oregon for over a decade. Jeff believes strongly in entrepreneurship and enjoys making the legal side of business transparent and easy for his clients.
